  THE MAN WHO TRIED TO SAVE THE WORLD
Based on the 1997 PBS Frontline Documentary titled THE LOST AMERICAN and the book, THE MAN WHO TRIED TO SAVE THE WORLD by Scott Anderson, the film will recount the extraordinary life of Fred Cuny, a disaster relief specialist who stopped at nothing to help civilians in some of the world’s most dangerous, war-torn cities. The story will focus specifically on the time Cuny spent in Iraq, Bosnia, and Chechnya, where his luck ultimately ran out.

The script will be written by acclaimed screenwriter Stuart Beattie (GI JOE, COLLATERAL), who will also serve as executive producer on the project, along with Frontline founder, David Fanning. Element Films are on board to finance the production, with Element’s Sam Nazarian and Adam Rosenfelt producing alongside Spitfire Pictures.

 

KEITH MOON
The story of original "WHO" drummer Keith Moon, one of rock and roll's all-time eccentrics. Keith Moon's drumming pushed a good-time blues band, THE WHO, into becoming the world's greatest rock-and-roll group. His wickedly funny antics produced a new level of showmanship and bad behavior. Ultimately, Keith's personal demons would lead to his downfall and death.

Attached to play Keith Moon, Mike Myers (SHREK, AUSTIN POWERS, WAYNE'S WORLD) is collaborating both with Spitfire and legendary WHO front man Roger Daltrey to create an accurate portrayal of the late rock-and-roll star.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Donald Margulies (DINNER WITH FRIENDS) is attached to write the original screenplay.

Produced in collaboration with Roger Daltrey and Who Films, Bill Gerber (THE DUKES OF HAZZARD), and Mike Myers.

This contemporary thriller features an ingenius con artist who is forced out of early retirement and into a deadly contest with a Shanghai mobster.

Produced in collaboration with Outlaw Productions (TRAINING DAY, NATIONAL SECURITY), SHANGHAI is written by Karl Gajdusek (HIGHER).


  MORAL HAZARD
Based on the acclaimed bestselling novel by Kate Jennings, MORAL HAZARD is the moving memoir of a young woman who takes a job at a Wall Street firm to support her ailing husband. The hard-knock lessons she learns from the masters of the financial universe challenge her in ways that she could never anticipate.

Attached to direct, filmmaker Phillip Noyce (CATCH A FIRE, THE QUIET AMERICAN, CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, PATRIOT GAMES) and his company Rumbalara are developing along with Spitfire. Acclaimed writer John Romano, (INTOLERABLE CRUELTY, AMERICAN DREAMS), is adapting.


  SNITCH
Based on a Frontline documentary, SNITCH tells the gripping story of one father's quest to save his son.

Inspired by true events, the movie will follow the story of an ordinary suburban man whose son has fallen victim to a judicial loophole, after a foolhardy mistake. To save his son from a decade of incarceration because of a mandatory minimum, the father is coerced by the prosecutors' demand that to buy his son's freedom he must deliver a drug dealer, any dealer.

Celebrated novelist and screenwriter Justin Haythe (THE CLEARING, starring Robert Redford and Helen Mirren) is writing the screenplay. David Fanning, producer of the acclaimed PBS series FRONTLINE, will Executive Produce.

Spitfire will produce in partnership with New Line Entertainment.


  NO MAN’S LAND
An epic tale of destiny and heroism, NO MAN'S LAND graphically portrays life in the trenches from the perspective of the men who fought the First World War. An American ambulance driver, a German Officer, and a British infantry soldier confront the stark reality of war during the birth of the modern age.

Based on the story by Larry Ramin (THE GATHERING STORM) and written by Academy Award winner screenwriter Christopher Mcauarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS), NO MAN'S LAND is being produced in collaboration with 2929 Entertainment (GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK). Tony To (BAND OF BROTHERS, FROM EARTH TO THE MOON) will also serve as a producer on the project.


  DEADLY FEASTS
In the tradition of classic 1970s thrillers such as THE CHINA SYNDROME and THE PARALLAX VIEW, DEADLY FEASTS will explore the true and terrifying world of what might happen when the Natural Order is upset and things go badly wrong within America's Big Food industries.

Christopher Cleveland (GLORY ROAD), a former rancher, is writing the original screenplay, inspired by Pulitzer Prize winning author Richard Rhodes's book DEADLY FEASTS.

Pulitzer-Prize nominated investigative journalist Howard Blum will serve as an Executive Producer on the project.


  GALILEO
This thriller dramatizes the legendary life of Galileo Galilei, the father of modern science. When his scientific observations bring him into direct conflict with the Holy Inquisition, Galileo must take a public stand for his beliefs. Threatened with torture and under house arrest, he must choose between his family’s freedom and the truth.

Written by Vera Blasi (WOMAN ON TOP), GALILEO is being produced in collaboration with Di Bonaventura Pictures.
